Shinita Velasquez

Shinita Velasquez serves as a Case Manager with CARE Team Services, where she supports students and connects them to resources that promote their well-being and academic success. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management. Prior to her current role, Shinita worked as a Case Manager for Student Conduct Administration at Baylor University and as a Mental Health Probation Officer for McLennan County Adult Probation. She is passionate about providing students with meaningful care, so they feel valued and motivated to complete their college journey. Shinita approaches her work with empathy, understanding, and purpose. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys attending her son’s sporting events and spending quality time with her family.
