National College Health Assessment
The National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is a national research survey organized by the American College Health Association to assist college health service providers, health educators, counselors, and administrators in collecting data about their students' habits, behaviors, and perceptions on prevalent health topics.
Questions on the NCHA survey cover the following topics:
- Demographics/personal profile
- Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use
- Physical activity and nutrition
- Mental health
- Personal safety and violence
The NCHA survey is implemented on our campus every two years and is designed to assess student health behaviors to provide better support for Baylor University students. The information collected from this survey is used to develop wellness programs and services for our campus community. More importantly, the data show us what we are doing right and what we need to improve upon.
