Jose Vallejo

Jose Vallejo serves as the Assistant Director of Collegiate Recovery in the Student Care & Well-Being Department at Baylor University, where he leads the Beauchamp Addiction Recovery Center (BARC). He provides individualized recovery coaching to students navigating substance use and process addictions while overseeing BARC programming and student leadership development.

With more than 11 years of experience in the recovery field, Jose brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his role. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, he is passionate about trauma-informed care, substance use education and reducing stigma around addiction and recovery. His work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a steadfast belief that recovery is possible.

Outside of work, Jose enjoys working out, reading, and coaching practices that reflect his commitment to growth and community.
