Christiana Owusu-Ankomah
Assistant Director for Well-Being Initiatives
Christiana is originally from Obuasi, Ghana. However, she came to know Avondale, Arizona as ‘home’ when her family moved to the United States in November 2000. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Arizona, and recently completed Purdue University’s Global MBA program.
During the last four years, Christiana has served as a Health and Human Sciences Educator for Purdue University. In her role, she provided research-based programs and resources on the topics of health and wellness, foods and nutrition, financial resource management, and human development. The years spent in Indiana strengthened her passion for health education and health promotion, maternal and child health, and global health.
In her spare time, Christiana loves spending time with her family and friends, cooking Ghanaian dishes, and reading. She looks forward to returning to the Southwest and is excited to join the team at Baylor!
